FREE PICK-UP IN THE CHICAGOLAND AREA. Up for your consideration is a gorgeous Le Verre Francais cameo glass vase, in the Art Deco style, c. The piece was designed by Charles Schneider, and is signed in cameo "Charder" and etch signed on the base by the maker. It features mottled pink to purple cameo, on a light orange graduating to a mottled white background. It is the largest size for this form, measuring 11.75" tall, and 7" wide. It weighs about 7 lbs. The piece has one serious flaw. There is a semi-circular crack line (4 in diameter) emanating from the handle to the central right portion of the upper design, as shown it the last photo. This appears to be a production issue, when the handle was applied. The glass both above and below the crack is perfectly smooth, and the upper cameo layer was unaffected. Because it is under the cameo, it would not have been noticed until after the upper layer of cameo was removed. The crack is shown in the last three photos. E piece is in excellent condition, free of chips, damage, or loss. The crack is stable, and does not show from the side signed Charder. This quote is for the Continental U.
