This is a most striking cameo vase.
The flower blooms are on a natural scale. This was produced between 1904 and the outbreak of the first world war in 1914. The factory remained closed until 1919.
This is a remarkable size and makes a decorative statement. I have been involved in the antiques business since 1971. My career took a leap forward when I joined Bonhams in 1976. Some five years later I became head of the Decorative Arts department.
