A Galle cameo glass vase with cylindrical neck Date : 1905 - 1908 Origin. Bun type base with tall cylindrical neck internally decorated in a soft salmon pink acid cut in tones of blue, lilac and green with flowering plants Marks : Galle with epsilon and star motif Type : Lead glass Size : Height 14.5cm Condition : Good Restoration : The neck rim has been polished Weight : 217grams. The neck rim has been re-contoured.

All Galle vases except those made in moulds have rounded rims. This has been polished and an attempt made to round it off.

However, there is a tell-tale, a chamfered edge inside the neck of the vase. I have been involved in the antiques business since 1971. My career took a leap forward when I joined Bonhams in 1976.
