Antique Art Deco Czech Necklace Hand Faceted Red Beads With Neiger Style Cameo
Antique red glass bead necklace. Beautifully imperfect old old beads in unusual racy shades of rich deep red. Appear to have been hand cut / faceted as there are variances and irregularities that add to the vintage charm in this unique piece. Mix of varying sizes and shapes of beads - including two long faceted tube beads.
Large satiny shimmery center piece is topped with pressed or moulded elegant female cameo silhouette. No clasp - just slip over the head to wear. Size : Measured laying stretched out as is is about 15 1/2" long end to end including the cameo drop - so it is a 28" long necklace if you were to measure the circumference or total bead length (not including 1 3/4 for the cameo setting and bead drop).
The cameo centerpiece is about 1 3/4" long x 1 1/4" wide, including the finial bead on the bottom - just the round glass is 1 1/4 diameter any direction. Marks : None that I could find.
CONDITION : Good condition for the age - some minor expected random wear, flea bite chips, flaws, imbedded and other inclusions original to the glass. There is one larger chip on the reverse or backside of the large cameo piece - see last pic View & enlarge photographs to closely inspect fine details and to determine the amount of patina, and/or wear.
Most older pieces by nature normally have some degree of both and, unless severe, aren't considered damaged. I will do my best to note anything glaring or distracting.
