Antique EMILE GALLE 3.75 French Cameo Art Nouveau Glass Vase. I have decided to sell.
They were listed as authentic Galle glass circa 1900. They were part of a rather immense collection of high end glass and ceramic. The crowd was thin that day and the catalog was deep. The Galle came up and I won both lots. With that said as you probably know Galle is often imitated. Sellerss either dont know or know and dont want you to know. These pieces to me (and I know very little about Galle as mentioned) seem to have patina consistent with age. This piece does appear to have been used as a vase. I could be wrong I just dont know. Ill let you be the judge. Please look at photos carefully and make your own determination.Vase is 3.75 tall, the base is approximately 2 across, the hips are wider than the actual base by a bit. Again please carefully examine the photos. I really dont have any more information than what I provided.
