Monumental signed Legras cameo art glass vase. Made in France, early 20th century.
Measures approx 15 1/4 inches high. Cylindrical shape, widening slightly towards the top, curving in towards the top rim. Ground glass is a combination of milky white and forest green with a mottling of blue, especially near the upper portion.
Above this are 5 layers of glass, cameo cut to depict a superb Japanese style cherry blossom tree. Blossoms and foliage are further enhanced by engraved details. Colours are white, yellow, orange, brown and green.Photos cannot do justice to the impact of this vase, which combines the monumental size with the extremely delicate detail.
