Joined the French Foreign Legion in 1914.Set up his glassworks in Compiegne (NE of Paris) producing French 2 color etched art glass in 1926. Then opened Verrerie d'Art Degue in Paris -calling his art glass "Degue".
The Degue factory made vases, paperweights, bowls, perfume bottles, stemware items... His cameo glass designs leaned heavily on natural motifs but also used brilliant colors that became his signature. Degue glass was destined for the collections of the few privileged American and French able to afford them. BEAUTIFUL CONDITION - NO CHIPS / NO FLAWS / BOLD COLOR.
