In 1926 David Guéron, founded a factory, and called "Verrerie D'Art Degué" which specialized in the designing and production of Art Deco luxury art-glass. His factory was located on the "Boulevard Malesherbes" and his showroom was on the "41 rue de Paris". The factory main focus was the production of vases, lamps and chandeliers.

The glass was known and revered for its full and deep colors, achieved with a special process (especially red, orange, yellow and green). He produced vases, lamps and light bowl in cameo etched floral designs similar to late industrial Gallé pieces. His type of work became so popular that similar glass was produced by many glass works including MULLER & SCHNEIDER. The Degué glass works were closed down in 1939 at the outbreak of the War. This particular piece was done in a floral motif using deep colors of orange/red and browns as well as a frosted main background. The piece has an slim ovid shape with an inward rim and a circular pedetal feet. It shows no chips or cracks, it only shows normal ware from use.
