KELSEY MURPHY RARE PILGRIM 4 Layer Cameo Fairy Lamp Art Glass
KELSEY MURPHY- PILGRIM ART GLASS. From my personal collection this is a Exceptional Cameo Art Glass Fairy Lamp. This outstanding piece of art glass was produced by "Kelsey Murphy" when she, along with "Robert Bomkamp" , developed a deep cut, multi layer cameo art glass for "The Pilgrim Glass Corporation". This is a beautiful well made "Cameo Fairy Lamp". It is about "5 Inches High" with the base and the base is about "4 1/2 Inches at its Widest Point". It is signed on the side in cameo "Kelsey". It is in "Like New Condition" with no chips, cracks or repairs. PLEASE NOTE - Even though I believe this was made as a Fairy Lamp, I would not light it with a candle.
Because it is made of 4 layers of glass the heat from a candle could cause the piece to crack. I would recommend that this piece be used for its aesthetic value only.
This is only my opinion. This is a rare and exceptional 4 layer cameo fairy lamp. It is truly a work of art and it would make an impressive stand-alone display or a great addition to a high end art glass collection.
