Quality Cameo Glass Vase Galle Style Commemorating 2002 Rotary International. A very attractive and unusual. Hand blown and etched vase in the style of Emile Galle. The shape is flattened with a tricorn fluted rim and the Art Nouveau style cameo decoration features delicate blue vine flowers on frosted amber glass with dark brown glass overlay, which looks stunning with the light behind it. The vase was a commemorative piece made for the Rotary International meeting in Buzau, Romania on the 29th June 2002. A representation of the Rotary International logo with date and place of the meeting is featured to one face of the vase, contemporary with the overall decoration. This is a highly unique piece as one would assume that very few were produced! Ideal for collectors of both cameo glass and Rotary International memorabilia. Measurements: 19.5cm (7.75in) tall - 8cm (3in) wide - 5.5cm (2.25in) across base - weight 448g. Condition: Excellent - no chips or cracks - light scuffing to base - a couple of darker scratch lines to the interior which appear to be from production of the piece.
