Stunning antique French Saint Louis cameo glass biscuit jar / cookie jar. Crafted by renown Compagnie des Cristalleries de Saint Louis. Of the highest quality crystal in cranberry over clear.

Decorated with acid etched relief of flowers and leaves in a lovely cranberry color on a clear textured ground. Marked on the base with an etched Saint Louis mark. Mounted with silvered mounts enhanced with a stylized knotwork or basket weave border. Topped by an acorn finial and finished with a charming bamboo motif handle. A gorgeous biscuit jar, in good condition. Some wear to the silver on the mounts. The biscuit jar measures 5 1/2" diameter at its widest x 7 5/8" height. Stands 10 1/8 total height with the handle up.
