For Sale, we have a fine example of Stroubridge glass making at its best in this Thomas Webb cameo glass vase. As opposed to the more common two color. Of citron, red and white glass.. The Cameo work has been executed superbly. The artist captured the perfect balance between the red and white layers which can be challenging to achieve with this color combi.
Too thick, you lose the translucence and the relief ends up. Too thin, you lose the contrast and are left with a dull and lifeless image. Compare this with others of the same color combination (the last two pics) looking specifically at the quality of the shading.
