Is very proud to offer you this absolutely fabulous authentic, museum quality Licio Zanetti, Italian Murano art glass vase, made circa 1985. Decorated with a brilliant wetland bird scene, using the inciso technique (carved, cut) into the outer dark layer to expose the white under-layer, it is a truly stunning and rare piece, complete with the artist's. The full signature "Zanetti Licio" is understood to be reserved for his masterpieces. Otherwise, his normal signature simply reads, "Zanetti L".

Pontil/base is ground-flat and polished. A very distinguished addition to. Art glass collection, or extremely thoughtful gift for a very special person. See " About the Artist ", below.

" tall (34.3 cm) x 11" wide x 5 deep. FULL CONDITION REPORT: No cracks, chips, nicks, scuffs, flea bites, flakes, hairlines, repairs or evidence of grinding can be seen or felt. Any natural indentations, bubbles, tool marks and/or any other natural textural features are all original to this piece and normal for hand blown glass. Zanetti Vetreria Artistica was founded in 1956 by the glassmaster Oscar Zanetti and his son Licio. The furnace quickly distinguished it self for the artistic quality of master Licio Zanetti's glass sculptures, and soon took its place among the most prestigious companies on Murano. In 1989 master Licio Zanetti stepped down in favor of his son Oscar, who had been working by his side since his youth. From his father he inherited his artistic talent, which he learned to express through the ancient glass techniques of Murano as well as through new techniques invented in the furnace itself. His predilection for naturalistic subjects is reflected in a lively collection inspired by the flora and fauna of his beloved Venetian Lagoon : blown or massive glass objects, all executed rigorously by hand, in the best tradition of the great masters of Murano. The island has been dedicated to producing glass since the thirteenth century 1292. Having been banned from mainland Venice, for threat of fire hazard, t. Soon they widened their output to include pressed glass, tableware and art glass. The surge in popularity of beautiful, high quality decorative glass in the post-war boom.
