UNUSUAL DeVEZ FRENCH CAMEO ART GLASS LOW BOWL / CENTERPIECE, c. 1900
Welcome to Antiques & Moore! This listing is for a lovely DeVez French Cameo Art Glass bowl/centerpiece, c. Measures 2 3/4" high with an overall width of 7" and top opening of 5 3/4.
This nice bowl has beautifully detailed flowers and foliage carved in relief on the upper portion of the bowl with a frosted acid-etched cameo glass background and a scalloped upper edge. The glass body is two layer glass with the background having a soft opaque white frosted appearance and the design cut from the green outer layer of glass.
Glass is signed in cameo "DeVez". DeVez was a French cameo glass maker contemporary with Galle, Daum and the other glass artists of the early 20th Century.
The condition is excellent with no chips, cracks or repairs. Glass may reflect faint signs of minimal wear from normal use.
