Vtg Empoli or Nailsea Style Art Glass Blue & White Cameo Stem Ewer & Decanter
This Gorgeous Empoli or Nailsea Style Art Glass Duo was bought by my Mother in the mid 1960's in Bellingham Washington. They donned our stairway in there own little cubby's for as long as I can remember. (Not sure of the maker unfortunately) Some sight called it VICTORIAN ERA GLASS. The body of the Ewer or Pitcher is in translucent light blue glass, with a narrow cylindrical neck which flares out to a rounded body with a subtle diamond quilted texture.
This stands on a stem with an oval-shaped cameo or medallion with a portrait of a Victorian Era looking woman in profile, in an opaque white finish, with a beaded texture at the border. This in turn flares out to a circular base.The Ewer or Pitcher has some surface cracks on one side. (Very Sad) Not really noticeable unless looking. Handblown so there are a few small bubbles and imperfections here and there. 5.5" W x 16.0" H approx.
The Decanter (I think it's a Decanter). In translucent light blue glass and. With an oval-shaped cameo portrait of a Victorian Era looking woman in profile, in an opaque white finish, with a beaded texture at the border. Has the Nailsea style on the Stopper. It is in Excellent Condition. More so on the Ewer or Pitcher than the Decanter. 5.5" W x 1 8" H.
