Most of the exterior is purple, with an iridescent finish. There is a band of decoration which has purple iridescent butterflies against a white, frosted background. To achieve this, the glass was cut or carved, producing a cameo effect. This vase stands approximately 6 1/2 inches tall. It has a maximum width of about 4 inches.Unpacked, this piece weighs about 15.9 ounces. The base is nicely finished (ground and polished). This would be a fine addition to a collection of American studio art art glass.
