Emile Galle Style Art Nouveau Wheel Carved Frosted Layered Cameo Glass Vase Fruit Branch. Presented for your consideration we are offering this lovely, art nouveau and Emile Galle' inspired, layered, frosted, acid etched art glass cameo vase, produced in extraordinarily high quality. Beautifully decorated in the true art nouveau style, inspired by Emile Galle' around the turn of the century, with nicely formed, raised, sculpted and acid etched leaves and fruit on a branch in an autumn color palette, in shades of reddish brown, amber and yellows, the layered cameo glass in true Galle' style, even with a representation of Emile Galle' signature, makes this a lovely conversation piece and would make for the center of interest on a pedestal in a corner of any room at home or office.
In fine vintage condition, with no chips, cracks, or damage, but we should note that there are some rough edges at some of the cuts on the etched design, which is the nature of cameo glass production, so if this does not suit your particular taste, perhaps cameo glass is not a great choice for you. Measures 9 1/2" High x 2 1/4" Diameter at rim and 4" Diameter at most bulbous point near base x 1/4" Thick glass. While the vase is signed Galle', quite similar in style to how Emile Galle' would have signed his wares at the turn of the century, and done in a fine quality of cameo glass, we are confident that it is not an original, and should be.
