Magnificent Antique Art Nouveau Emile Galle Cameo Glass Olive Plant Vase

This breathtaking masterpiece vase honors the splendor of the Olive plant with its distinctive leaves and fruit. A museum piece of the highest quality. Very rare and highly desirable. Diameter at the base: 2.0 inches. Diameter at the mouth: 2.5 inches.

An original rounded mold-blown design where the plant leaves and its fruit are raised, highly polished and shiny in sharp contrast to the vase's flat frosted background. Has a smoothly ground out pontil on the base while mouth has a nicely rounded over top rim. This vase gives the appearance as if filled with light and seems to have an internal glow. The plant parts are strikingly elevated above the glass providing a 3D effect. The leaves have a "hammered effect" typical of the originals.
