Jenny Lind (the Swedish Nightingale) commemorated in this gorgeous piece of Nailsea glass, continues to sing out to us from the PT Barnum Era. Collecting her image regained popularity following the 2017 movie "The Greatest Showman". Nailsea glass made in the Bristol district in England from 1788 to 1873, was made by many different factories, not just the Nailsea Glass House. A variety of pieces were made with looping's, of either white or colored glass as decoration.Nailsea's original charm eventually crossed over to name many small decorative items, made by from leftover glass. When the Nailsea Glass House closed, other English glass art makers picked up the rod.
It continued to be made both the US and Italy. So dating this piece is hard. The condition is excellent, and we have a few gifts of lovely air bubbles at the bottom. Vintage Size: Unisex 12H x 6W at widest point Condition: Pre-Owned Like New.
